Copyright Law

A artist produces an oil painting and

sells the original oil painting. Does

the seller have the right to make copies of this work of art ?

The work of art and the underlying rights to that art is separate. If you did not buy the rights to reproduce the art, you may face legal repercussions for doing so.

Wedding photographers know this law very well. This is why when you hire one, you have to pay extra for the copyright as well.
