Legal Question in Consumer Law in California
Credit Card Stolen
Someone stole my credit card, the thieve used my card for over $2,000 charge in one day, when I found out, I immidiately called credit card companies to close my account, so I am not liable for any charge.
Most of charges from home depot, I called home depot why they did not check photo ID, they said probably the thief used computer to make purchase, I said Home depot can still track the theif ISP address, but they are not interested to puruse that, they can't get any payment from credit card, they will swallow the loss.
I lost my card in the spa locker room, I have security lock, but it did not work, should I talk to the spa owner?
my credit card, and cash was stolen, but my photo ID still in the wallet. can I sue the spa owner?
What is your suggestion? sorry for my poor writing.

Sue for what? You don't get to sue people when you have suffered no loss. Sure, tell the spa owner about the defective lock, but you can't sue them when nothing happened but the minor inconvenience of having to get a new card issued.
