Legal Question in Consumer Law in California
My daughter got a Capital One Visa 4 years ago. The card limit was $500.00 which she max'ed out 3 years ago and stopped using. She struggled to pay it off and the interest and penalties plied up. She has now paid them a total of $1,300.00 ($800.00 in Penalties & interest) and Capital One says they still need to pay another $400.00.
Is there a maximum amount of Interest and Penalties they can be charged?

You might have your daughter telephone customer service and ask that everything else be waived and call it even. If that doesn't work, she either would have to pay or not pay and run the risk of not paying,
