Legal Question in Consumer Law in California

My daughter purchased a car in California and now the dealership is saying they entered the wrong amount of taxes on the contract and demanding the difference be paid. Does the contract stand, it has been several months since purchase, or does she have to pay?

I could write them a letter telling them they can either void the contract and give you back all your money, or accept the contract as it is and pay the proper taxes themselves. They will probably accept it as it is if they hear from me as "your attorney", and I explain the price was material aspect of the transaction, otherwise you would not have purchased.
