Legal Question in Consumer Law in California
defraud judgment
I have been served summons and have not responded and one of them have garnished my wage (from a creditor card co via a lawyer). Is it too llate to file bankruptcy in order to stop wage garnishment ? It cost $6000 to hire a bankruptcy lawyer.

Re: defraud judgment
Filing for bankruptcy would stop the wage garnishment. $6,000 sounds pretty pricey. For a chapter 7, the going rate should be around $2,000.
