Legal Question in Consumer Law in California
Dell Online Purchase
I purchased a Sony Bravia 46 Inch LCD TV from Dell on Black Friday, (Nov 23, 2007). When the TV was delivered, Dell had shipped a 26 inch TV. I called Dell immediately and reported the error. They in turn said that the TV that I had purchased was actually the 26 inch model. Every piece of documentation that I have received from Dell states that I puchased a 46 inch TV and I am getting REALLY frustrated as their so called customer service
continously ''disconnects'' me after being on hold for hours.
What are my legal rights regarding this matter? If my receipt says 46 inch, do they have to honor it?

Re: Dell Online Purchase
It's not all about what the receipt says. There appears to be some ambiguity but it will take a careful review of the facts to advise you as to your rights. Feel free to call or email to discuss further.
Depending on the facts, it might be advisable for you to start by calling your credit card company to reverse the charges.
