Legal Question in Consumer Law in California
I was denied service at a grocery store because my husband was an "asshole." We were grocery shopping and he refused to wear a mask due to respiratory challenges. I had a mask on the entire time. My husband was asked to wear a mask and refused, he exited the grocery store. I, who was wearing a mask the entire time, was also asked to leave the store and they would not allow me to complete my grocery purchase. When I asked why I had to leave the store without being allowed to purchase my food, I was told, "because your husband is an asshole." Is this legal? Do I have any recourse? I feel that I was unfairly mistreated. Thank you, Lois -- loisjeanbrady#gmail.com
