Legal Question in Consumer Law in California
Department of Motor Vehicles
I sold a vehicle in November of 1998 and the person did not register it in thier name. I was just informed that I have a $1800.00 dollar bill on my credit report and that I'm being held responsible for some towing costs. How do I take care of this matter?

Re: Department of Motor Vehicles
if you either delivered the pink slip to the new owner or filed a notification with the DMV you are not responsible for the car at all.
