deposit on car
Hi, I had placed a $1,000 deposit on a used car and the car dealer had us sign the ''retail installment sales contract'' so we could take it to get financing. We could not get financing and now the dealer will not return the deposit.

Had you taken possession of the car? Did the sales contract have a cooling off period? Did it say you were attempting to get financing and anything about what would happen if you could not get the financing?
