dsl company cancelled my service without my request and billed me cancellation f

i had a 1 yr agreement with a dsl provider. I had constant problems with service, tech support, and connection. I had so much trouble every single day since I purchased the service. After getting very rude service and arguing with this person, he cancelled my account and I never requested that. He then billed me $250 for cancelling before my one yr agreement was up. He's the one who cancelled it, not me. He was mad because I was treating him how he was treating me....being rude. Since I didn't cancell my account, why would I have to pay this bill?
