Eating Items Inside Grocery Storez+refusing to pay
If you get caught eating food inside a
grocery store can you be prosecuted
for stealing even if you didn't leave with
any items?

Yes. If you have some reason as to why you should not be prosecuted, I would love to hear it. But, what you are talking about is stealing!

Absolutely. Not that it matters, but you will have to leave the store at some point. Besides under your theory you could be arrested for destruction of property which in many places is worse than petty larceny.
