Legal Question in Consumer Law in California
I have an elctrice bill in my name, I moved out over a month ago and i paid the last bill. My roommates and I aggreed that if I kept the bill in my name they would keep paying it, because they cant get the elctric in there name, they told me they where not going to pay this months bill because she didnt have to, Well i told her i would pay it but I was going to take it out of my name and they would have to get the bill in there name, So my question is, legally do I have to give them a months in advance notice that Im getting the bill out of my name?

No, you are not required to give any notice at all. You can take them to small claims court for any charges after you moved out. By the way, was it not a tip off to you when they couldn't get service in their name that they probably weren't going to pay you either?
