Legal Question in Consumer Law in California
Electrican Mess
on 9/21/05 we had a power surge in our home, a called in an electrian, who said we had a bad main breaker and a short in the wall he charged $958.00, everything was fine for 10 days and then it all happened again called the same company back because of warrenty they then wanted to charge 8600.00 for a total house rewire. i got another electican (from another company) to come out and he found that the first job done wasnt to code and that the problem wasnt bad wiring but caused by a lose wire from electric company, any how we want our money back from first company, but they want copys of the pictures i took and copys of the second companys invoice should i give these to them? and what other steps should i take. i did find that the first company does have several complaints aganist them. they were even on the news which i didnt know before hiring them....

Re: Electrican Mess
Sounds like a small claims matter if, as part of the price, the second electrician will testify on your behalf.
