Legal Question in Consumer Law in California

Its not fair

mY CARS ENGINE BURNED UP AFTER A SERVICE STATION FORGOT TO PUT THE CAPS BACK ON THE RADIATOR AND THE COOLANT.THE CAR HAD JUST BEEN PURCHASED MY MYSELF ONLY 3 WEEKS PRIOR AND HAS AN EXCELLENT MAINTANCE RECORD AND HAS BEEN INSPECTED AND FOUND THAT THE CAUSE WAS NEGLIGENCE ON THE PART OF THE SERVICE STATION.I had the engine replaced and with the cost of my car rental fees /time off work and towing Im looking at over 10,000 dollars!! The service station owner had orginally siad that he would pay for the costs but has now stated that he would not--the work has already been done on the car and I have nowhere near that amount of money th pay. Now the place that rebuild the engine says that they are putting the car in storage and it will cost me 20 a day and they will sell the car if not payed in full in 30 days--what AM i SUBPOSE TO DO?

Re: Its not fair

You mean you approved the repairs without having the money to pay for them? And without a written promise from the service station? I guess after the repair shop auctions off your car to pay the repair bill you can sue the service station.
