Legal Question in Consumer Law in California
How do I find an attorney?
Hello,
I paid an attorney to write up a complaint for me while I was at her home where she was working out of, she was also in the process of moving. I dident think to ask for a reciept and when she asked me to leave all my research and evidence Id gathered on the company and the people I was trying to suit in case she needed to cross reference I dident think twice. Now this was back in june or july and sense then she did move and she has answered one e-mail and thats it. Nothing more no matter how many times I plead or call and leave messages she will not answer. I dont even care about the money paid but all my evidence and originals and all my research is more concerning for me. I cant even find anyone else to help me because she has all my stuff. She has registered a P.O. box number on the calif bar association web site and the zip code she listed is not even a valid zip code. Can anyone tell me the next step Im affraid of a statutes of limitations issue also although she assured me that I had time Im not so sure. Thank You for your time in this matter and hope for a speedy reply.

Certainly your attorney will not abandon you. Try getting a forwarding address by writing to the street address; send a letter with address service requested. Call me directly at (619) 222-3504. Documents may be regained during discovery.
