Legal Question in Consumer Law in California
I found used car on Craigslist that the owner is willing t accept a down payment and payment arrangement on the vehicle. I was wondering how to word a binding agreement AND WHETHER OR NOT I SHOULD AGREE TO LEAVING THE CAR IN THEIR POSSESSION UNTIL I PAY OFF THE BALANCE? What's the best legal solution?

Before buying a used car, make sure to have it inspected. Too many people are taken advantage of because they're just too trusting.
As to the agreement, it makes no sense to leave a car in the possession of the seller. Why buy a car if not to drive? Also, the seller could go out of business, move, etc., and disappear with the car. At least you'd have possession of the vehicle while paying it off.
