Legal Question in Consumer Law in California
found a screw in my hamburger on saturday at carls jr ... manager said she is missing a screw from the speaker above the food prep line.. i didnt swallow the screw .. didnt crack my teeth.. sent a e-mail to corprate office and havent heard back from them ... called a local attorney, they said if i didnt get hurt i dont have a case... is that true?

Yes, its true. You need to have sustained damages to have a cause of action.

No the local attorney lied to you. They probably have too many other cases, or maybe they secretly work for Carl's Jr. Of course you have a case. Only problem is it's a losing one.
