Legal Question in Consumer Law in California

Found an unknown type of gelcap in a bottle of cranberry juice.

Am from Texas am working in Santa Rosa California. I went to a store called Trader Joes among my purchases was a container of cranberry apple juice. While I was drinking out of the container, which was 2/3rds drank, I noticed what I first thought was a clump of mold in the bottom of the bottle. After the first initial gag reflex. Upon further scrutiny it looked like a jelly bean stuck to the bottom of the jar. I cut the top of the container off and with a fork dislodged it from the bottom, pulled it out and found it was what I am almost certain is a gel cap of some kind of medicine. The juice is cloudy. I am not sure if this is a direct result but I didn't work for the last three days due to not feeling well. My first concern is what have I ingested into my body. Do I go to the store with this, contact the police, contact a lawyer? I am in a travel trailer staying by myself so it wasn't tampered with at home.

The first thing you should do is go to a doctor and find out what's making you sick. If it's determined to be something in the drink, then address it with the store. Before you turn over the caplet, you might want to enter into an agreement with Trader Joe's management on a lab to test it.
