Legal Question in Consumer Law in California
Fraudulent Credit Application
I signed as a co- applicant on a credit card the store owner processed and it was denied. Without my knowledge he then processed with me as the primary and no co- applicant and it was approved. This was not what I agreed to and not the contract I signed and I have a copy of the contract to prove it what can I do.

Re: Fraudulent Credit Application
What happened that made you realize the mistake? have you suffered any injury beyond the potential harm to your credit? If you are serious about this you could file suit for, among other things, unfair business practices.

Re: Fraudulent Credit Application
Rather than file suit as Mr. Becker suggests, you might simply cancel the card and close the account.
