Legal Question in Consumer Law in California

Gift Certificate Refunds

I purchased a gift certificate for my wife to have 4 private Yoga lessons. After the first Yoga lesson my wife decided she was not satisfied with the instruction and requested a refund of the 3 remaining lessons. The Yoga instructor said her policy was no refunds and that it was clearly posted on the Yoga studio wall. Are we entitled to a refund or is having the refund policy posted sufficient?

I believe that the holder, and not the issuer, should make the choice.
