Legal Question in Consumer Law in California

Hello,

I'm a international student who is staying America for 8months.

Please understand. I'm not good at English.

First of all, I bought a car 7months ago. It is a 2004 camry.

My dealer showed me a carfax information. There showed no accident in carfax information and excellent condition, but when I went a bodyshop to change the engine oil, the chief of bodyshop told me my car have a accident and he tried to let me accept where accidents were occured.

As I see the accident marks, I could believe him.

I got angry, so I went to dealershop where I bought my car.

The dealer insisted it was not accident car.

I could not get any compensation with my car.

How could I do somthing for this situation? Can I sue the dealership?

Please help me.

If you can prove the car actually had an accident and was repaired, or that the carfax report was not for the exact car you bought, you can sue the dealer for the difference between what the car was worth as it should have been and what it is worth as it is. If that difference is $7,500 or less you can sue in Small Claims Court.
