Legal Question in Consumer Law in California
HP selling defective high end defective computers
HP sells defective high end computers and has no solutions to fix the random weekly computer slowdowns and unstability problems. They offer only band aid solutions. Many forums are available and it shows alot of frustrated owners. Can any lawyer help me file a lawsuit against HP for defective product? I can get alot of people to get in on the suit in the forums.

Re: HP selling defective high end defective computers
I might, but it depends. Are all these people having the same problem? Are they slightly different problems where the plaintiffs will still fall into the same category? What is the defect all these people are dealing with? How much of a problem does it cause? Besides it being frustrating, how do you measure your damages as a monetary figure? How many people do you have with such problems? Is it 10 or a thousand? Finally, are you all willing to spend money to chip in to file a lawsuit?

Re: HP selling defective high end defective computers
To file a class action for defective products requires a finding that the consumer were experiencing either identical or highly similar problems as to a specific model or models of computer. Are this problems OS related, or specific to HP hardware?
Are all consumers having the same or similar problems or is it just general problems of "slowdowns" and instability? Slowdowns and instability are more likely related to OS problems, but could also be dependent on the BIOS installed by the manufacturer and/or failure to ensure compatibility.
More information is needed to assess your question/problems and if there would be a legal solution.
