Legal Question in Consumer Law in California

Interior Designer takes Money

Hello,

An interior designer was paid $3500 for a custom made sofa in January. It is now August and I still do not have the sofa and the interior designer has not responded to any calls or e-mails since May. What recourse do I have?

Send a legal demand letter, and file suit against the liable party thereafter if need be. Our Law Firm can assist you with this upon your request.

What does the contract say about when the sofa will be done? If it doesnt say anything, send a certified letter asking for a date certain. If it does set a date, and it is past that date, then you should send a demand letter and then go to small claims court.

You can email me at [email protected] for my free ebook on small claims court.
