Legal Question in Consumer Law in California

Internet scam

I tried to sign up for this site www.musichypeonline.com

and i paid them $80 for 3 months of service and my own domain name. They took my money and nothing happened or changed and they won't respond to me at all. The money went to Wimberly Media group and every time i call them there is only a secretary that says those people aren't there, she takes a message, and no one ever gets back to me.

Re: Internet scam

Send a certified, return receipt letter (keep a copy) to the administrative contact, whose name could be found http://www.networksolutions.com/en_US/whois/index.jhtml, and demand refund of your money by a reasonable date that you specify. If he doesn't refund it by that date, you will then have to decide whether you want to go to small claims court, get a judgment, get someone in Georgia to attempt to collect it and the collection fees. You might also report him and his company to the Georgia attorney general consumer affairs department. Good luck.
