Legal Question in Consumer Law in California
Item I sold on craigslist
I sold my king size bed to a woman using craigslist. She came over and spent over an hour inspecting the bed before deciding to purchase it. She then put most of it in her car (the headboard didn't fit), scratching pieces of it as she went. She is now saying the bed is broken, that I knew it was broken and that I sold it to her anyway. She wants to return the bed and get her money back or she says she will take me to court. Since I know it wasn't broken when she took it and I have pictures of it put together, does she have any kind of case against me?

Re: Item I sold on craigslist
As you implied, she had plenty of time to inspect it. I'm sure you sold it "as is." Of course anyone can sue. The question is, can she win? It depends on what kind of testimony, witnesses, and proof you can present if you are sued.
