Legal Question in Consumer Law in California
Iv been paying $95 a month for self storage unit. I went to pay and they had increased the rent to $195. Said letters had been sent out to inform of the double increase, can self storage units increase rents by double?

Yes, they are not subject to rent control laws. They should have been sending you a billing.
