Legal Question in Consumer Law in California

On July 23 2009 I attempt to pay my Car note through the automated system on Peak5/Flatiron and got nothing but a busy signal for at least 24 hours when at which time i attempted to western union the payment and it was rejected. At this point of not knowing what to do i did nothing. I made sure that the car was registered to my correct address so the company could contact me I never heard from them. I started investigating on the internet and found out that Peak5/Flatiron financial closed it's doors on July 10th 2009(http://www.cutimes.com/News/2009/8/Pages/Peak5-Financial-Closes-Up-Shop.aspx) I also found alot of people in my same situation(http://www.complaintsboard.com/complaints/peak-5-c232970.html?sort=datea&page=2). On 12/29/2009 I ran my credit reports through all 3 bureaus and noticed that the car was no longer on Equifax or experian and that transunion showed it as Peak5 in good standings a of june 2009. on 1/25/2010 I went to my local Dmv and requested my leinholder information at which time i was also renewing my registration I was told my leinholder was listed as Centrix financial which is the original company i financed from and that went bankrupt in 2006 when Peak5/Flatiron was suppoes to take over. when I explain all of this o the clerk at the dmv she then told me my leinholder was Banc of America and gave me the information. I had previously contacted other companies that i found might have my loan one of the companies called Auto Portfolio Sevices stated they did not have my loan once I finally got through to them. I researched this company and found out that the executives for this company are the same as the one from Peak5/flatiron and also the original company Centrix. This APS came on 1/28/2010 and had my vehicle repossed when speaking with a Katie at Repossesor and she stated they have had my account since Oct. 2009. A vehicle that remind you is no longer on my credit report in a way. Do I have a case against these people for illegal repossesion also is there a case for a class action suit since many people are a victim of these crooks
