Legal Question in Consumer Law in California

What kind of personal questions can consumers ask?

I was contacted and explained I would like to make payment arrangements. The creditor started to ask me personal questions about my financial status and how am I able to call them if I don't have money? Is that right?

Why would you answer their questions? Why would you even take their calls? See creditboards.com
