Legal Question in Consumer Law in California
Is it legal to sell airline miles and credit card points? The airline and credit card companies say they do not allow it and that it is included in the cardmember agreement, but I see advertisements for companies to but and sell miles and points all over, so I'm wondering "how is something illegal advertised so openly?"
I have heard from people in the know that these companies know how to work their way ato get the points, but that if the cc or airline companies find out then they will cancel your card and/or account.
I don't want to do anything illegal, but I would really like to convert my miles and points into cash. Help!
