Legal Question in Consumer Law in California
Legally binding contracts
i am refinancing my home. I signed a contract and it was notarized. 3 weeks later, the mortgage company is saying that my loan was rejected and now I have to resign papers at a 20 yr. term ( the original was 30 yr). Isn't the first contract binding since it was offered by them and I signed it in front of a notary?
If you could get back to me as soon as possible, I WOULD APPRECIATE IT. I am supposed to sing the new papers Tues. 8/7/01.
Thank you,

Re: Legally binding contracts
depends on the wording of the contract.
