Legal Question in Consumer Law in California
i live in california and am trying to set up a bundle with verizon. online they offer a package that combines home phone, internet and direct tv. the direct tv offer is for hd, nfl sunday and free showtime for a year. when i try to order it i do not get the showtime for a year. i am told that it is something that is on the website but they do not offer anymore. when i asked about honoring it because they are advertising it they say there is nothing that they can do. it is there most expensive bundle, the bundle next down does offer the showtime for a year but no hd. is this worth pursuing further or just let it go. i know there are bait and switch laws, not sure how to proceed. just want my showtime with my hd. i can forward the copy of the chat i had with the online rep and supervisor and the link to the page with the offer.
thanks for your help,

Advertisements have been legally deemed to be not an offer to which you can accept and create a contract, but an advertisement is just an invitation for you to make the business an offer for a price for their product, which the company can then accept or reject. You would have no case to hold Verizon to any terms that they do not accept.
