Legal Question in Consumer Law in California
loan
I co-sign for a friend and now they
are hiding the car.I was told the car
is now a charge-off,and that they will
come after me,I understand that and
I'm still tring to get back the car to
give them,I have not heard from
them in two months,can they take
my taxes without contact or
judgement, which i'll get next month

The lender would have to file suit against the borrowers and obtain a judgment before exercising any remedies that the law allows. Once they have a judgment, they could execute against your bank account and wages if they desired to do so.
