Legal Question in Consumer Law in California
A local business sold me a TV that operates on a different voltage than the power cord which blew a crack in my screen. I was told that further usage could have blown up my TV and caused a fire. I brought the TV back within the 30 day warranty but they refused to fix my TV accusing me of physical damage. Now I'm stuck with a TV that is broken. What kind of legal action can I take? On what grounds can I make them on. What are my options legally?

Take them to the small claims. Make sure to keep all cables that came with the tv. Get a letter, better yet a declaration from a tv repairman explaining the cause of the malfunction. Bring the actual tv with you to the court if you can. If it is too difficult bring good pictures.
Good luck.
