Legal Question in Consumer Law in California
how long does a dealership have to get your financing in order before they ask for the car back..
I know contracts and this one states that they have 10 days to get the financing in order, if not they have to send written notice. They have done neither and contacted me two months after I picked the car up.
I have given them $1,000 and my car $2,000 trade in two months ago and now they want the car back because they can't get financing. Nothing has changed on my employment or any thing else. I have taken them two pay check copies. What is my recourse.

It's called a [yo-yo sale], and it's a scam. Write them a certified mail RRR letter telling them to go pound sand, or have a lawyer write the letter.
Michael Stone did not really explain what happened. Since the dealer did not find financing, the contract is over and they need to refund all your money, but they can charge you for the use of the vehicle that used for the t wo months.
