Legal Question in Consumer Law in California
Marketing scam--mortgage leads
I'm not sure I chose the proper category but I need to know how to get a refund of $2100 that is due me per the contract from an internet (mortgage)lead company in Florida. They just keep stalling. It has been 5 months. I have reported them to the BBB in Fla.where the business is located but they don't seem to be having any success. The company has over 100 complaints with the BBB in the past year. I also sent a certified letter to the CEO of the company but I'm sure it was intercepted and never received by him. I feel all it would take is a call to the CEO by a lawyer to get my money back. They clearly are in breech of the contract. It is too hard to explain here so if someone would like to call me I'll tell you all about it.

Yeah, right. If only the CEO didn't have his mail "intercepted" he would send you a check because he is a really nice person. Give me a break. You have been scammed on. The BBB is useless. I hesitate to say that an attorney who would take your case is only offering to scam you again, but in my opinion hiring an attorney would be throwing good money after bad.
