Legal Question in Consumer Law in California
Med Spa didnt give promised results
I went to a med spa called South Coast Med Spa to have a laser treatment performed on my face to remove deep scars. The doctor told me that I would only need one treatment. I bought a package of two for a refresher when I needed it. I had the laser treatment done. Healed in three days total. And not one scar had dimished and my complexion still looked the same. I have several witnesses that say nothing had been done and that there is no way that the laser would work on my scars and it basically was a glorified glycolic acid peel. They have a video online that shows a client getting the laser treatment performed and they show the after photo. His skin was almost perfect. Also the advertisment showed his skin was worse than mine. and then they I paid 3200.00 via visa. What are my rights and what can I do to get my money back?

Re: Med Spa didnt give promised results
Do you believe you were defrauded? If so what is your specific basis. For example, if you did not get the results you wanted, that is not necessarily fraud. If they knew the procedure would not work, that may be fraud, but it is difficult to prove that they knew this for 100% certain. An interesting case would be if the laser machine wasnt functioning, or something of that nature, and they just pretended to use it. I would need to know the specific facts, and whether this was done to a lot of other people.
