No Mention of No Returns
I placed an $80.00 order for an upcoming new edition of a reference book published by the American Association for Medical Transcription located in Modesto, CA, through their web site (www.aamt.org). For various reasons, by the time it arrived on July 15, 2002 (over SIX months after placing the order) I no longer needed it. However, I could find no instruction within the packaging in regard to returning this book.

Upon e-mailing the AAMT, I was advised that they have a No Return/No Refund policy. When questioned as to where it says that on their web site, they confessed that it did not say that anywhere on their web site but they will be fixing that right away!

I believe if a retail store does not visibly post their return policy, they must return your money. Does this not extend to internet sales? Are there any governing rules and regulations that address this?

I thank you and appreciate your guidance and expertise on this matter.

You are right. Sue them in small claims court.
