Legal Question in Consumer Law in California
In Microsoft's advertising for Office 2010 it listed Business contact manager as a part of the package. The product package does not include BCM, and many MSOFFICE 2010 users are feeling very ripped off. Is there anything we can do to get our money back from microsoft/or get them to give access to a download of the missing program?

You'll never beat their lawyers, but if you publicize the situation via the various internet technology forums and news media outlets, maybe MS will be shamed (if they in fact were ripping people off) into doing something about it. And, obviously, there are any number of alternative contact manager software products available to you, both as commercially licensed products and as freeware/shareware.
The Microsoft business contact manager is called "Access." The contents of Office 2010 depend on the version of the software you purchased. Nevertheless, there are attorneys who bring class actions against software companies for things like this. I encourage you to find one who would at least discuss this with you.
I disagree with attorney Cohen. Microsoft Business Contact Manager is an add-on for Microsoft Office Outlook. It is not identical to, nor is it a part of, the database software called Microsoft Office Access.
Please let me see the advertisements that say it is part of the package. It may be possible to take legal action.

There are at least nine different versions of Office, all the advertising I can find only shows Business Contact Manager being included in the Business and Business Pro versions. Furthermore, the earlier answer that it is just an added set of features in Outlook in those versions also appears to be correct. So unless you have an add that says it is included in Outlook in your version, or you have the Business or Business Pro version and it does not have those features in Outlook, you are wasting your time and ours.
