Legal Question in Consumer Law in California
Misrepresentation of Automobile Features
I recently purchased a new car. The owners manual states that my car has certain features, when in fact they do not. I have emailed the company through their customer and owners website, complaining of the fact. Their response is that those features are on the European model cars, but not the US models. I believe that they have misrepresented the features of their automobile, and that they should compensate me equally for the lack of those features. Do I have any legal means backing my position or are they correct in saying tough luck to me.
Thank you
Scott

Re: Misrepresentation of Automobile Features
Yes they are unless the dealer specifically promised you those missing features. Very common for manuals to cover multiple versions of same model product.
