Legal Question in Consumer Law in California
Money judgement filed against my bank account
Unifund was granted a default judgement against me. I should have responded but I didn't. Now they have filed notice of levy - under a writ of execution (money judgement) against one of my bank accounts. It didn't have much money in it but I have other accounts in other banks. What possible courses of action should I pursue now? I owe almost $6K according to the judgement.

Re: Money judgement filed against my bank account
If you don't owe the money, file a motion for relief from the default and default judgment if you still can. Check to see if any of the sources of money in your account might be exempt (e.g. Social Security payments). Otherwise you are SOL.
