Motion for a stay on judgement
Do you do motions? I need to do a stay on judgement in LA county court for a judgement I recieved.

If you received a judgment, this means the case is over, and you lost. If this is the first you've heard about the case -- you never received the lawsuit -- then you can request that the judgment be vacated and you be given a chance to defend it. This only works if you have a defense to the lawsuit, such as you don't owe the money or the case was filed too late. If you received the lawsuit but you just blew it off, too bad.
