Legal Question in Consumer Law in California

Needle stick

As a visitor to a local bar/rest my wife was drying her hands in the rest room when discarding the towel in the trash she was stuck by a used diabetic needle...she has advanced anxiety that is now put of control from the incident. We have addressed the medical side but what legal action can be taken due to the unprofessional behavior of the establishment...they insisted she was making it up and not uintil the needle was located or my arrival did they start to show concern...do I have any recourse or actionable cause...

Re: Needle stick

I don't see why the bar would have any liability for your wife's injuries in this matter. What you have is an unfortunate accident. The bar almost certainly did not put the used needle in trash and I don't see how they could have known it was there. If you have evidence to the contrary, then your wife might have a viable claim.

If you are upset with how the bar treated you and your wife AFTER the incident, rudeness is not an actionable claim.
