Legal Question in Consumer Law in California

on an online boat sales site we viewed a picture of our boat being listed for sale by another person. It is the same boat with the same hull/vessel number. Please advise. Thank you

First things first. Contact the online company immediately and tell them that it is not the person's boat to list. Then, contact law enforcement for their investigation. I'm no boat expert, but there's probably a boat registry somewhere where you can list your information to protect others from fraud. Good luck!
