Legal Question in Consumer Law in California
online sales
I'm thinking about selling items online that I would buy wholesale from China. The prices are really good...so good that I think they may be counterfeit. If I sell these items in the US and they turn out to be counterfeit, can I get in legal trouble?

Re: online sales
If you are selling items that infringe on another's trademark, copyright, or other protected intellectual property rights, you can be held liable civilly and even criminally. To give you a more precise response, I would need to know the exact details about the goods. Let us know if you would like further legal advice. We practice business law out of Newport Beach.
