Legal Question in Consumer Law in California

I have a outstanding citibank bill and received a letter from a law firm/CA. I sent them a debt validation request and got back a copy of my bill with the balance owing. I was wondering what is considered a validated debt? I asked them to send a copy of the agreement between them and the OC but they did not do that. Do they have too or is a copy of the bill enough for debt validation?

Also what can happen if they sue me? My only income is disability and I do have a home but have no equity. What should I do now? Im In California

Thank you

They have validated the debt "enough". Now whether that is sufficient evidence to get a Judgment is a different story. Plus you do not know what other information that they have in the file until they sue you and go thru discovery.

If they sue you, they can place a lien on your property and try to collect on there judgment through all possible avenues.
