Legal Question in Consumer Law in California
I paid off my auto loan in full and received the title. Company reported a charge off and I received a tax form and was charged by the IRS for the amount the finance company reported. How do I fight this with the IRS?

I would suggest sending the IRS a letter with copies of the checks and the title, and explain that you paid it off. Send it certified, return receipt and keep a copy for your records.
