Legal Question in Consumer Law in California
I have paid $3400 to a mechanic for a rebuilt transmission and replace the spark plugs. Its warranty was only 3 months and no warranty on the labor. I was able to drive to vehicle for a short period of time and then it started acting up again. I had someone else diagnose the problem and it was bad spark plugs. So I paid him to change the spark plugs. My intention was to go talk to my first mechanic about this. (I kept the old spark plugs) But the vehicle had the same transmission issue and I couldn't even drive it to him, which was only 2 miles away. I am in California. Do I have any recourse?
