Legal Question in Consumer Law in California
I paid a person first and last month rent, because that is what he verbally agreed to a couple days later he asked for another month I told him I didn't have anymore and asked him to return my money no papers were signed I did not enter the house because keys were not given to me what can I do to get my money back I have tried to call the person with no return phone calls he lives out of state I live in calif he lives in Missouri please advise me

You have most likely been taken by a con artist. File a police report and hope for the best.
