do i have to pay the tow company for my car if i dont want it anymore?

Having absolutely no facts to work with here, it is hard to answer you. Is the tow company someone you hired privately, part of a prepaid road service account, something related to law enforcement and action you took with your vehicle? All that said, the most likely answer is yes.
