Legal Question in Consumer Law in California
If after paying a company several hundred dollars to fix something and after many attempts to fix the item, they finally say they can't fix it and that I'll most likely have to buy a new item, do I have any recourse in getting my money, that I paid them for trying to fix it, without success, in small claims court? I spent over a thousand dollars with them and no success. It was a radar unit on a boat.

You may absolutely take them to Small Claims Court. At the courthouse in Chula Vista, and at most small claims courthouses, there are small claims advisors who will advise you how to proceed in the small claims court. They provide this service for free. Good luck.
